Welcome to the new Vortex web site. We've set up a mailing list so that we can contact you when we have our 25% off sales, something people have been asking us to do for a while now. We've also created a FAQ to answer common questions.

The main part of the site, this front page, will be used to make announcements about new vinyl shipments as well as any significant additions to our inventory. For instance, if someone brings in a heap of jazz or blues CDs we'll try and make an announcement here. Note that we don't have a computer at the store so there will usually be a day or so delay between receiving and posting.

As some of you have noticed, we've also been bringing in some new (as in sealed) vinyl. We're trying to deal direct with the labels when we can and when that stuff comes in we'll post about it here. We'll mostly be dealing with small or re-issue labels. We'll try and bring in unique stuff and do our best to offer the best prices in the city. (For instance, we just got the new Animal Collective double LP and we're offering it for $26.99. I've seen it at three of our competitors for $30.)
