As mentioned in my last post, a bunch of new used vinyl will hit the floor shortly as we had multiple customers promising to bring in lots of titles over the coming days. Indeed, some came in today and has been priced and put out. Among them were multiple Rolling Stones
Grateful Dead
John Mayall
Beatles
Allman Brothers
The Band
Miles Davis
Cream
Hendrix
Clapton
There were also some nice near-mint 5- and 6-LP box sets: Clapton, Allman Brothers, Dylan, and a Muddy Waters on Chess, all with their booklets and wax in great shape.
In addition, there are some nice new vinyl pieces which came in last week that I forgot to post about:
Joy Division
Doris Duke
Mono
Hendrix
and a few others I can't remember off the top of my head.
The Soft Machine 2LP that came out ltd to 500 on Record Store Day has now come out domestically so we've lowered the price of the ones we have on hand. Just 23.99 for the German import.
And... an update on the Classical section. I had initially said it would be gone by last Friday but the combination of heatwave and soccer made it a slow week so we're keeping it a bit longer, still at 50% off. However, it'll probably be gone very soon (less than a week, I'd guess).
We haven't completely decided what we're going to do with the space made available by the classical, but we'll probably be putting together the long-requested R&B/Soul and Ambient sections. We're also open to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), so please send any you have along.

I haven't been feeling particularly well lately so there's not been much action here on the site. Apologies for that. Some quick store news:
The Daptone vinyl has been selling extremely well. I think we're down to one copy left of each item so if you were planning on picking some up, now's the time. Not sure I'll be able to swing this price again (though of course, I'll try!). I still haven't received CDs of this stuff (it's coming from a different supplier), but hopefully real soon.
Same goes for the Digitalis stuff. I think there's at most one copy left of anything that's not already sold out. I absolutely will not be putting the next batch out at that low of a price. Snatch 'em up!
Root Strata has finally confirmed that they've shipped us our order... unfortunately, it's not complete so will be missing a few items I was quite looking forward to. Arggh. However, there will be some Grouper in there.
In the next
I took a scoot through the used stock today and we've got a bunch of great stuff in at the moment. I didn't write anything down, but here's a few things off the top of my pounding head:

- The Complete Motown Singles Vol. 3, 1963 (5 discs)
- Terry Reid - Super Lungs - Complete Studio Recordings 66 - 69, and Silver White Light
- Robert Wyatt - Theatre Royal Drury Lane
- Pizzicato 5 (two diff CDs)

- Alan Lomax's Southern Journey 6 - Delta Country Blues
Some great Japanese CD imports:
- Massive Attack - Blue Lines and Protection
- New York Dolls - s/t
- a heap of jazz, including: Charlie Parker, Milford Graves, Barry Guy, Dave Holland, Enrico Rava, Terje Rypdal, Alan Skidmore, Elton Dean, Globe Unity Orchestra, Baden-Baden Free Jazz Orchestra
Vinyl
There was also a bunch of new used vinyl but my head's starting to hurt again so I'm-a gonna step away from the computer. The biggie that jumps to mind is the Ltd Edition version of Radiohead's In Rainbows. It's 2 CDs, a 12" booklet of photos, and two 45 RPM 12" records in a slip case. Far as I can recall this was only available through the Radiohead website as a pre-order item so it's outta print.

Ulrich Schnauss
Thievery Corp
K+D

That's probably about half to a third of what he surrendered. Some sold today. The rest will sell soon. No, really.

We have got a ton of new used vinyl in the past week. Hundreds of great titles. Classic rock, some great jazz, a bit of reggae, pop... you name it. As per usual, I won't list the used titles as it's pointless (I can't order more in when they sell out), but it's safe to say that there should be something for any vinyl lover. It's selling super fast, however, so pop in soon!As for new vinyl, I brought in a bunch of Tom Waits and Dead Kennedys and it's on the floor very reasonably priced. A few other artists also came in (see below).
Just a heads-up that we will be stocking the new double live Tom Waits LP when it is released. I think the price will be around C$24, give or take a buck. It's us$21.99 plus shipping from Tom Waits' own site so I think that's pretty competitive. I'm also trying to bring in his 180g 7LP box set (Orphans, essentially) by year-end. My source says it'll come out December-ish. No pricing details yet but when I know you'll know. Because it's a pricey title, let me know if it's something you're keen on so I have a rough idea of how many people are looking to grab one. No commitment. If you want to hear some of the new Waits, they're giving away tracks for free on his site.
Here are the vinyl titles I priced up yesterday:
Big Star - #1 Record and 3rd
Beck - Guero (2LP)
PJ Harvey - Peel Sessions
Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger
Guns 'N Roses - Appetite for Destruction (180g)
Tom Waits:
Swordfishtrombones
Real Gone
Alice
Blood Money
Mule Variations
Dead Kennedys:
Bedtime for Democracy
Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables
Plastic Surgery Disasters
Frankenchrist and Give Me Convenience... should be in in about a week. The DK records are very reasonably priced. I think I put them out at $12 or $13.
