The Nigeria '70 3 disc set--two CDs and a DVD which has a documentary on the country's music. As far as I can make out, the two disc version is still in print but this 3 disc one is not. It's on Strut, so is a UK import as well.

Three volumes of the Verve France: Free America series came in. Here's an article on the series in Jazz Times and another in All About Jazz. The titles we received were Art Ensemble of Chicago's Certain Blacks, and one title each from Clifford Thornton and Frank Wright. These CDs were obviously released in France and are numbered, limited to 3500 numbered copies. We've put a premium price on these; they're in perfect shape.

Note that I was considering holding all of these until after the boxing week sale as I don't want to offer them at discounted prices. However, I figured a few of you may want them for Christmas gifts. So, I will be pulling them from the shelf during the boxing week sale. This is something that Vortex normally doesn't do during our sales but I'm afraid I'm not willing to take the hit on these as they were pricey and discounting them would mean we'd be selling them at a loss. Those of you with your fingers crossed waiting for the 26th can uncross and bite the bullet and buy now or take your chances and try and pick them up come January. Titles that were on the shelf prior to this recent shipment will be available during the sale, however.

If anyone is looking for the AK100 box set, let me know. I only have access to one copy. I just didn't order it yet as I don't want to be stuck with such a high priced item. You'd more than likely have it in time for Christmas. $320. It's still sealed.
